The new subscriptions include:

• WhatsApp Plus – $2.99/month

Meta says the core versions of all three apps will continue to remain free for users.

Meta is also preparing AI-focused premium plans under a broader “Meta One” ecosystem.
These future subscriptions may include:

• Creator monetization tools

• Enhanced productivity tools
The rollout is part of Meta’s larger strategy to reduce dependence on advertising revenue while heavily investing in artificial intelligence infrastructure and premium digital services.
The subscriptions are separate from Meta Verified and will roll out globally in phases, including India.
